Under NY Labor Law §191, employees who spend 25% or more of their work time performing physical labor must be paid weekly, no later than seven days after the end of the workweek.

- Repeat violations: may incur liquidated damages equal to one week’s pay per delayed week
Exemption:
Employers with 1,000+ employees may apply to pay biweekly, pending state approval.
